What this is
Stats, ratings and rankings for every NCAA Division I women’s volleyball team, built from charted match data. Every team gets a full page: sideout and point scoring, attacking by pass quality and phase, serving, passing, blocking, digging, setting, rotations and a match-by-match scorecard. On top of that sit rankings (team ratings, power rankings, the NCAA RPI with the committee’s adjustments) and projections (win probabilities, simulated RPI finishes, weekly trends).

Why it exists
This started as a way to put volleyball information in one location. The fans deserve that. The media now has a place to look up information, too, instead of going to a bunch of different sites to gather it.
Where the numbers come from
- Match data: charted scout files from Hudl VolleyMetrics. A match is included once its file is available, so recent matches can lag by a day or two.
- Results and schedule: the NCAA results feed, used for RPI, records and the remaining schedule.
Stats are only as complete as the charting. A team whose matches are missing a file will show fewer matches than it has played.
How it’s built
- Team ratings (40–99): each skill is opponent-adjusted, so a team gets credit for who it played, then placed on a 40–99 scale where 70 is the D1 average. The overall rating weights the skills by how much each one predicts winning.
- Power rankings: opponent-adjusted sideout for and against, with home court removed. This is the rating behind every win probability on the site.
- RPI: the NCAA formula, 25% win percentage, 50% opponents’ and 25% opponents’ opponents’, plus the bonus and penalty adjustments from the NCAA’s pre-championships manual.
- Projections: the rest of the schedule is simulated 1,000 times with the power ratings, and RPI is recomputed in every simulated season.
Every stat and column is defined in the Glossary.
